i met her at renegade craft fair this past weekend (on the windiest day ever!)
she makes these one of a kind handbags and using recycled upholstery!
be stylish & green!

they are simple, versatile, with lots of character
i love the patterns she uses on the inside of the bags
they also have lots of pockets you can use for all your little items

she also custom designs to your needs, so if you want something, go ahead and ask!

mable bag dark chocolate with submarine lining $45

tess tote pea green canvas and recycled upholstery $70
*my bf amy bought something similar to this and she absolutely loves it!

laptop case

my bf got the macbook air couple years ago and never got a case for it.
that thing is so light and skinny that you just need a nice slip to protect it.

i surprised her by making her a case for her bday this year.

it's super easy to make!
i just got the dimensions of the laptop from apple.com
cut out felt according to the dimensions, but giving it some extra room
(just in case!)
sewed along the sides to hold and to decorate
made a flap on top
used fabric glue to fold down the sides
sewed on buttons for decoration
that's it!

what to do with your keys...

i'm always obsessed about where our keys go in our apt and of course the roommie/husband puts them all over the place.
i initially put cup holder hooks into the wall underneath a framed picture but the weight of the keys have been loosening the hole and now its needs an intervention.

here are some ideas what YOU can do with your keys

want to make it yourself? diy: kitchen utensil key rack

bend some forks and spoons, mount them on a wooden square and then hook them to the wall
voila!
look here to get the step by step instructions

want something magnetic? hookeychain magnet

its a magnetic key holder and you can even attach a memo behind!
check them out at mollaspace

looking for a more modern look? welcome to urban mode

get this key holder with shelf here

get this key holder here

or modern but wooden? marvelous key rack

get them here

want something fun? mustache key holder

or go to ikea
get some plain hooks like these:

this is komplement

visen

lillholmen
and then put some fun prints above the hook to give ur key holder area some character
like these:
